| If
your insurance company has refused to pay for your therapy for any
reason, or you just don't have insurance, this program was designed for
you.
What
you are charged. For most items you are charged the
Wholesale Cost. You might wonder how we can stay in business by
charging you wholesale for your purchase. Fortunately, we do have
some customers that pay the discounted insurance rate, on which should
make a modest profit. But the wholesale cost is not what we pay
for an item. The wholesale cost, or "AWP" (Average
Wholesale Price) is the price a drug wholesaler charges a pharmacy for a
product. But when that pharmacy becomes a good customer and
purchases a great volume of items from that wholesaler, the pharmacy
receives a discount for "prompt payment" (within 7 to 14 days
of purchase) We use that
discount to pay for the services required to fill your
prescription. Most often we just about break even on these
purchases. If we didn't, we wouldn't be here very long. But
because we're selling you items at our cost (Cost of the goods and
services we're providing) we have to ask for payment before the delivery
leaves our facility. Credit cards are ideal, but if you don't have
one, you can send us a check. But we'd have to receive a check before the delivery left
our facility. That's why we think the credit card option is best.

Other Charges:
You may think this is petty, but the shipping materials are expensive
and we have to charge you for it. The box is
lined with Styrofoam and the ice packs cost us several dollars.
To insure your medication arrives in a condition appropriate for
use we must ship your order properly. We can't absorb those costs
so they are a part of the shipping and handling charges. We ship
UPS because of their reliability. Most of the time you will
receive your order exactly when it's supposed to be there. But if
it doesn't, UPS will find it. We've only had one experience
where a package was just lost, and even then (after we duplicated the
order) it was found.
Systems
used to lower costs: We use technology and an understanding
of your IV therapy to drive costs down. For instance, when
it's appropriate to use gravity to drip an IV this is usually seen as
the lowest cost option (rather than using an IV pump) At times,
it's not safe to use IV drip as an option, so a pump must be used.
However there are instances when a pump could be less expensive than an
infusing using gravity and IV drip! At Infuserve America we analyze
each option to determine which is the safest for each individual
patient, and most cost effective. But we won't compromise your
health to save dollars. There are some things we just won't
do. When a procedure could be dangerous or could have adverse
consequences we won't use it; We've been asked to supply items for
"IV push" where the patient simply has a syringe and slowly
pushes the plunger to infuse their IV. Only trained health care
professionals can perform this procedure. Patient's might be
tempted to push the plunger too fast causing damage to veins and other
health related problems. We have systems that allow for IV push, but
that use an inexpensive IV pump. IV push Pumps

IV flush kits are used, and can be more expensive than
using Saline and Heparin in a vial. However in the long run they
are far less expensive. The exact amount needed for the infusion
is in each syringe, there is no waste! The system uses no needles,
so there is no danger of needle sticks. There is no need for
sharps containers and hazardous waste disposal of needles (very
expensive) because you have none.
These are but some of the procedures that are
used. Of course each individual patient's needs are unique.
Some need more dressing change kits because they live in warm climates
and sweat a great deal. Others are neophytes to infusion and need
systems to assist their infusion so the procedure is simply and non
complicated. Still others are veterans of IV therapy and know a
great deal about their infusion, safety, and the products they
use. Each individual patient has specific requirements. We tailor
our systems to you, the patient for safety and cost effectiveness. Payment
for goods and services can be by personal check or money order,
or a credit card. We prefer credit card to facilitate your
purchase. Without the credit card your shipment might be delayed.
