This drug is used for several types of infections. When used for Lyme disease a suggested dose is 2000-4000mg IV once or twice per day infused over at least 30 minutes, although there are other treatment regimens

Text Box: It is recommended that a 2gm dose of Rocephin(Ceftriaxone for injection) be diluted in 50-100ml and be infused over a period of not less than 30 minutes. Ceftriaxone doses over 1gram should not be given IV push. However, the drug can be given intramuscularly Other intravenous substances, additives, or medications should not be added to or infused simultaneously through the same intravenous line.
